Nan avan illai - 2 partly engaging sequel

To start with I had very little hope on this movie... the only reason I ended up buying tickets to nan avan illai 2 is coz I could not get tickets for any other movies... even Arya 2 was houseful today...phew....Soon I realized that I gotto lick ma wounds... this movie did amuse me... It may not be the best but definitely it isn't even remotely worst... It is a good sequel with minor and overlookable (tatz xactly wat I did - overlook) hiccups.....

Nan avan illai 2 starts exactly from where its predecesssor ended.... Jeevan is now in Canada (I think so) and he is into his routine betrayal game... this time he is doing it for a reason n that actually is a good one...n also this time he does not lay any women but manages to flick their money... So our anti hero is a kinda 'not so anti-hero' in this movie... We have four heroines who play the victims.... It would be fucking insane to rate the movies as a package (tats wat I think)... so lets chip in a deal... we analyse each story (of each women) separately n see wat we are ending up with....

Story 1 - Saki and Mahesh (Jeevan)
Saki plays the role of a Telugu's U lu te girl, spoilt by her mom, looking for a Husband-Servant combo... Jeevan palying as Mahesh a software engineer manages a cheeky entry into her heart by pretending to be 'I will do anything for ya' guy... The story starts well but looses the tempo pretty soon... the only relieving aspect is the 'Baga Unnara' song... we just laughed our ass out... If you think VijayKanth is the worst dancer ya gotto watch Jeevan, u would appreciate sincerely that Captain is an earnest dancer... Jeevan's Dance - Attaboy he rocks, he did entertain us with his slow slower slowest dance of this millenium... n though the heroine is a telugu girl we barely witness her or her family conversing in their mother tongue..... There is only a few cheppakoodadhu, chappakoodathu thrown here n there to make us believe that they are telugu people...but as I told ya u gotto overlook these flaws....

Story 2 - Nisha and Aravind
This story sucked... good plot but weakly executed... Lets not go into detail... betta grab a cigarette pack, ya could puff the story off, or u can call ya girl friend in ya vodafone 1 paise per second plan (but walk when u talk), or get into the restroom to pee profusely, or do a peeping tom on the corner seat of your row, ya could end up seeing some cuddling, fondling, kissing stuffs... However the heroine was looking better than the first one n thats a plus....

Story 3 - Deepa and Barath
Laksmi Rai plays Deepa a hot hot heroine from Tamil Nadu and Jeeva is Barath her multi millionar fan.... Its a well crafted n executed n clever plot... Jeevan plays to the gallery coz there is ample scope for performance... Did I say that Jeevan does a dual role here? I didn't? Ok ya heard it now right?

Story 4 - Maria and Vaali
Ya heard it right... Jeevan plays the role of Kavignar Vaali to woo Maria a local con girl with... Its the most hilarious plot....I believe every one of ya will love it... Laalakku dol dappi maa...

There is also a side story belonging to the Mrs Sangeetha Krishh, who plays a widowed srlankan tamil mother... The story fills the sentiment quotient but it hardly makes an impact... The director has not made an earnest attempt to potray Ellam issue and even if he had made it it wouldn't have worked big time...Also I think they have made a mockery of the Srilankan Tamil pronounciation....

Jeevan and Mayilsaamy (comes as Jeevan's side kick) have done a neat job... appreciated... I didn't find Sangeetha's performance great... but I kinda liked Lakshmi Rai and Maria galz performance....

Excerpt -
* The movie started with a musik 'Chinna kumi chan Chacha kumi chan'... felt a bit nostalgic and then remembered that the same lines come in Vettaikaaran VJ intro song... Imman and Vijay Antony had lifted the same song... Copy Catzzzzzzzzzzz

If you have no other movie to watch and ya gotto kill your fucking time give it a chance.... Its not that bad.... 65 Watts flickering bulb I say......

K bye... yes ya wanna ask something....K shoot...

The Associate

by John Grisham

Kyle McAvoy is one of the outstanding legal students of his generation: he's good looking, has a brilliant mind and a glittering future ahead of him.But he has a secret from his past, a secret that threatens to destroy his fledgling career and, possibly, his entire life.

One night that secret catches up with him in the form of some bad men in a dark alley -- they have a deeply compromising video of the incident that haunts him. The men make it clear to Kyle that he no longer owns his own future -- that he must do as they tell him, or the video will be made public knowledge, with all the unpleasant consequences.

What price do they demand for Kyle's secret? Strangely, it is for Kyle to do exactly what any ambitious young lawyer would want to do: take a job in New York as an associate at the largest law firm in the world, a job that is incredibly well paid and, with mammoth hours and outrageous billing, could lead to partnership and a fortune.

But Kyle won't be working for the company, but against it - passing on the secrets of the company's biggest trial to date, a dispute between two defense contractors worth billions of dollars to the victor. Now Kyle is caught between the criminal forces manipulating him and the FBI, who would love to unmask the conspiracy. Will his intellect, cunning, and bravery be enough to extricate him from an impossible dilemma?

Full of twists and turns and reminiscent of The Firm, The Associate is vintage John Grisham

Next

by Michael Crichton

Welcome to our genetic world.Fast, furious, and out of control. This is not the world of the future-it's the world right now.

Is a loved one missing some body parts? Are blondes becoming extinct? Is everyone at your dinner table of the same species? Humans and chimpanzees differ in only 400 genes; is that why an adult human being resembles a chimp fetus? And should that worry us? There's a new genetic cure for drug addiction-is it worse than the disease?

We live in a time of momentous scientific leaps; a time when it's possible to sell our eggs and sperm online for thousands of dollars; test our spouses for genetic maladies and even frame someone for a genetic crime.

We live in a time when one fifth of all our genes are owned by someone else, and an unsuspecting person and his family can be pursued cross-country because they happen to have certain valuable genes within their chromosomes. . . .

Devilishly clever, Next blends fact and fiction into a breathless tale of a new world where nothing is what it seems, and a set of new possibilities can open at every turn. Next challenges our sense of reality and notions of morality. Balancing the comic and bizarre with the genuinely frightening and disturbing, Next shatters our assumptions, and reveals shocking new choices where we least expect.

The future is closer than you think. Get used to it.

Then Roy Kingman enters her life

Roy is a young lawyer who aided the poor until he took a high-paying job at a law firm in Washington. Mace and Roy meet after he discovers the dead body of a female partner at the firm. Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned unexpectedly to deliver an evening lecture in the U.S. Capitol Building. Within minutes of his arrival, however, the night takes a bizarre turn. A disturbing object -- artfully encoded with five symbols -- is discovered in the Capitol Building.
Langdon recognizes the object as an ancient invitation . . . one meant to usher its recipient into a long-lost world of esoteric wisdom

Langdon is instantly plunged into a clandestine world of Masonic secrets, hidden history, and never-before-seen locations -- all of which seem to be dragging him toward a single, inconceivable truth.

In this new novel, he again challenges readers with an intelligent, lightning-paced story that offers surprises at every turn. The Lost Symbol is exactly what Brown's fans have been waiting for . . . his most thrilling novel yet.

Kurbaan... Viewers ka...

Hey there... most times when we watch movie and the movie suks, u type ya blog so fast that ya fucking finger aches...and sometimes we do see good movies then we give good reviews with equal ease... but wat about those movies ya know, which ya are not able to categories as good or bad... writing reviews for such movies is difficult and uninteresting and brain fucking... Kurbaan belongs to this genre... phew...

Kurbaan is just another movie on global terrorism... We have Aysaan Khan (Saif Ali Khan) who woos his collegue Avantika (Kareena kapoor) and both travel to US... Lets not get to the background story for their travel...Its not that interesting... the routine Saif Ali Khan running behind girl stuff...So where were we???... mmmmm yep they go to the US... They move into an Indian Neighbourhood in the Suburb NewYork... Now Avantika makes a shocking discovery about her hubby and his true intentions, an attack on the US... n we have Riaz Masood (Vivek Oberoi) who after loosing his girl friend on a bomb attack just minutes after proposing her (Yawn... not again... why this gotto happen always... fed up with this same damn boring old sentiment shit)...trying to get into the bottom of this case... He even infiltrates into Saif's gang n with the help of avantika and FBI foils the attack....

If you feel nostalgic about this story ya betta be, coz this is exactly the story of 'New York'... The only problem is unlike New York, Kurbaan doesn't make an impact... The movie is scripted in such a way that it just revolves around the central theme 'Terrorism, plight of muslims' and the team has taken no effort to hit the target... this is wat NewYork did bang on target... The movie doesn't get serious at any point of the fucking 2 and half hours of its run...

Saif, Kareena, Vivek, om puri have done their jobs quite well... but could n't say the same for seasoned (artificially flavoured, coloured watever) actress Kiron Kher doing the Cruela de Vil of Kurbaan... I found her accent weird... I may be wrong here... just ma opinion... n the guy who played the FBI agent... phew...he is a complete jack ass material... I dunno why English guys act so pathetically in Indian movies... How are they selected? Are they street picked?

Kurbaan has its moments... be it the scene where Vivek confronts white students during their discussion on Islam.... or the scene in which Saif and his co get stopped by the NYPD when they are on a trail to dispose a body.... the movie scores... however boo-boo's are so ubiquotous like mosquitoes, meaning the flaws are too many... The reason given for taking Vivek onboard to Saif's mission...not satisfying... poor art work in some of the vital scenes esp the bomb blast in the railway station...In the scene where they show the half burnt face of lekha washington, they show the right side of her face as pretty intact...the logic is missing coz in ma opinion right side should have been burnt completely than the left side as it was in the direct contact of fire....

Now should one watch this movie or not... first of all its not a timepass movie coz it deals with a serious issue.... Lemme point out again, that don't expect to see a NewYork coz its not even half good... Smooches and steamy scenes are there in aplenty between Saif and Kareena but that should be pretty soon available on youtube... As other reviews claim the movie is not thrilling or rivetting too.... Watchable in (not Kareena's) parts... So I don't find a reason why one should n't give this movie a miss... I would leave it to ya guys to decide.....

Wattage : 45 Watts... Just pass rascala.....

2012... phew

Roland Emmerich.... spell disaster n hez there for ya.... Look at his filmography.... Independence day.... Godzilla....The day after tommorrow....10,000 BC....n now 2012....all are based on disasters...Fucking disasters... Having said that I should accept, 2012 was definitely an entertaining motion picture...

Now the story is not new, if u already knew (new .. Knew wow) about the 'Noah'z ark'....The world is coming to an end n "somebody" is building a ship... Now the hero has to rescue his family from california to the ship in china.... sounds difficult ain't it... and imagine they are making an escape wen the world is actually crumbling below them.... tat sounds fun... n ya have subplots... the usual stuffs... an US president n he is a good gentleman (hahahahahaha).... an american scientist whoz trying to woo presidents daughter (in the midst of the calamity ofcourse... ya gotta have a love story man)... an Indian scientist with a weird hindi accent, who is not making it to the ship.... an american jackass who orders to start the ship when half of the population has not boarded it... a russian rich who is ready to do anything to board the ship... n then ya have the humanity stuffs.... love for fellow people... moral of civilization... ethics of mankind... so ya got action, love, sentiment, preaching n ya got your hollywood masala...

2012 has the heart n soul at the right place... but the problem is we have already seen quite a lotta disaster movies n I think thats the reason y whe are not getting engrossed with this one... We know for sure that the hero's gonna survive and that pretty much takes away the suspense with it... all we are bothered is spectacular visual effects and the action and thats in plenty here... but sometimes things go overboard and they turn funny... imagine you are driving a big plane between two crashing buildings n ya clear the top of a building by just an inch.... its not thrilling any more... we have seen this shit a lot n lot n lot of times... directors need to think new.... its moment like this ya know which tests your patience...these are the Achilles' heel of the otherwise good movie.

I really liked the humour... Yes ya heard it right... quite a number scenes were hilarious.... imagine a shiek boards the ship with 3 or 4 wives... or a rich lady comes with her puppies... Ya have star suites inside the ship which is made for rescuing people.... n half of the human civilization is not granted access to the ship... The dialogues were funnier too...

"Ya betta move fast kid, the end is near" the american chief says to the scientist whoz eyeing the presidents daughter....

"When they say not to panic, tats wen you run" the hero's view about the american politics and security

"Itz a big Plane" "Tats Russian"

n watch out for the scene wen the hero et all tries to escape from the plane using a car n the car doesn't start... the whole theatre was laughing for this one... its for such good scenes ya gotto watch this picture....

For a movie of this magnitude ya need good camera and great CG works and itz undoubtedly the best in recent times.... Earthquakes, tsunami, volcanoes everything is done to perfection... kudos to the special effects and CG team.... sound wow... you gotto see this movie in a good theatre with ample sound effects... believe me I could feel tremors inside sathyam theatre... awsome background score n sound mixing...

The movie ends in a positive note... human survive n so does humanity and love... ya are gonna see only sony products after 2012... be it laptops or televisions... so HP, LG, Samsung they are not gonna survive 2012... When there is a calamity pack ur bags for rescue n wait, guys ya take ur mach 3 and girls take your hair remover kits with ya... In this entire movie ya are gonna see clean shaven guys.. pretty wierd every body has the time to shave... n if we are really gonna be extinct by 2012 I would recommend ya married people to delay your zeal for having a baby... itz only a matter of 3 years and nothing happens we are good to go ain't we....

Its definitely a worthwatch.... 90 watts current I say.....

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani... Kahani NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Its fuc' g heavy raining in chennai.... floods are inside houses.... people not getting food.... roads are skidding.... bikes petrol tank is now 1/4 filled with water.... n somebody goes for a movie!!!!... wat will u such an a'hole.... haaan shoot baby I m hearing.... no no thats not enough use even filthier words on me.... oh god I have committed a sin... wat a waste of time n money.... FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK...

K jus do me a favour... go to this link and trash the reviewer please.... it all happened bcoz of one a hec of a shitty review from rediff.... pls do this b4 u continue with ma blog.... All you need is Prem ..... Who the fuk are you Raja Sen????? Hey Raja Sen I m talking to u , u dick face (Courtesy Russel Peters).....

Ajab prem ki khajab kahani is a story about Prem who runs a happy club.... he helps people to make love... oops.... I mean to.. to.. to.. to.. find love and elope with it.... gotcha... Now our hero falls in luv with sexy kitten Katrina Kaif.... Now Katrina is forced to marry Tony.... Prem elopes with her only to find that Kat already loves Raaaahhuuuuuul (Naam to suna hoga.... played by the beef bodied Upen patel).... and rahul's father is not accepting this marriage.... ahhhhhhhhhhhh naheeeeeee enough enough I can't write any more its fucking irritating......

Performances ..... NOTTTTTTTTTTTT

Well I think we expected a lot from Ranbir after his wake up sid.... There isn't any scope for performance and he didn't dissapoint us by performing something.....Wake up Ranbir.....

Katrina as Jeni is sexy... She is yet to get over from the Namaste london hangover... u know wat I mean... love somebody and on the day of the marriage ya have a mental disorder or some kinda genetic malfunction n u go n propose the hero n elope with him.... She did that in namaste london, singh is king and now in Ajab.... Hey u pussy sorry Kat (MEOWWWWW) aren't u get bored doing this same shit...

Upen Patel... if u wanna do something good for bollywood... leave alone acting u better don't even watch movies... thats a great deed u would do for bollywood... comeon guys watching him acting itself is a big pain....

Therez no script no screenplay nothing.... its plain n absolute vaccumm.... u won't survive even for a minute.... The jokes are not funny.... the characters are not funny either... however wats more irritating is the crowd which came to watch this movie.... it mostly comprised of little girls barely at the bloom of their puberty... aawwwwing about ranbir kapoor... giggling at the worst jokes of thiz century....ya getta feeling like "Is this movie really good? Am I a dumb ass tats y I m not laughing at the jokes !!!!!!!!! Y these future titties are giggling...".... its like they just give this hope u know that u are watching a great movie.... well thats wat is actually bullshit.....

If u are a dumb ass, jack ass or u recently had a brain transplant n the donor happens to be a 5 yr kid.... u will love this movie.... I m serious .... for others its Pain in Ass....

Its Zero watts fused bulb I say.... stay outta theatres.... The rain gods are here to save us... be indoor n not inside the theatre playing Ajab ki kajab ki watever .... n Raja Sen u Damit Rascala .... don't ever write reviews..... Mind It........

Kanden Kadhalai.... Jab Santhanam get set....

We witnessed this in Diwali and barely after two weeks we are witnessing it again.... a comedian stealing the show against all odds and coming in flying colors... no prize 4 guessing the first movie as aadhavan.... u shouldn't be patting your back u a'holes coz even kids know whoz the real hero of aadhavan.....

Well I won't go into story of Kanden Kadhalai as we all are familiar with Jab we met.... We are all sure that this movie won't be a waste of time r money.... thank god this is a faithful remake and kudos to the team.... Having said that is the movie really as good as Jab We Met.... mmmmm not really but it isn't bad.... n thats the bottomline.....

Bharath as Sakthivel...... For heavens sake I would want directors to think of some new names here after for heroes.... Sakthi, Siva, Raja, jeeva.... Is there any govt restrictions to name the heroes too.... Y can't the hero be a vignesh, arun, varun, subbu or barath.... coming to bharath... Child labour this is wat comes to ma mind wen I think of bharath... wat to do he is still a kid inspite of having a mass hero image (comeon pazham neee and Aruvai mugam are mass hitz)... Well there is a big problem with bharath he is not able to match shahid.... having known that he should have tried doing things in his way rather than imitating Shahid... Let me tell ya imitating is an art leave that to professionals.... I m not a great looking guy but I know wat suits me and wat not... The hair style of bharath was pathetic.... In most of the scenes his head n face looked like a football pretty awkward like the 10 yr surya.... Suits didn't suit him as he was looking like a kid celebrating his 8th b day or something showing off his new dress.... We have a word called simple n wat is chimple.... Bharath says this in one of the scenes.... Bharath ya should have done your homework properly... I m talking about the 1st std homeworks not the movie.... enough of the bashing we all know bharath can perform better and we have seen it before..... lets give him another chance....

Tamanna.... Babe I m ya fan and there is no way I gonna say anything bad about ya performance ma chellam... coz I lov u da chellam.... Tamanna does what bharath failed to do... she imitates kareena kapoor but she gets a decent mark... a good performance from the barbie doll.... but yeh I m seeing tamanna in most of the sun pictures ventures.... something is fishy.... tamanna wats cooking btw ya and sun....

Santhanam as Mokka Rasu.... Buoy his one liners were hilarious.... believe me there was a roaring applause when they showed santhanam on screen.... If there is a reason for the jab we met fans to watch KK its only santhanam..... Watch out for the scene where santhanam confronts with tamanna's parents on wat he has done for tammana right from her birth... ya just cannot control laughing.... ya gonna laugh ya ass out... n don't utilize this oppurtunity to fart in the theatre... jus kidding..... Santhanam great going .....

Jayamkondan kannan has done a good job but I feel the movie lacked the depth of jab we met... dialogues could have been better... pattukottai prabhakar where was the need for ya to translate the hindi dialogues.... that even I can do ... hey I m serious.... And the scene when barath talks to his shareholders / employees its not happening guys..... the dialogue sucked.... The cinematography was neat and editing was crisp.... I m not a music lover so won't comment on vidyasagar....

I m sure sun pictures will make this movie a clean hit unlike its pervious craps (except ayan).... Ya are gonna see more promotions highlighting santhanam....I m sure they will put most of the comedy scenes in aditya channel... still its a good watch in theatre u can laugh with the crowd....

Its a 60 Watts current I Say ...... Watch it for santhanam....btb who is that Tamanna's sister... she is a 80 Watts current I say.... Adios....
